“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Acts 2:42-47

What is a Go-Group?

Go-Groups are Bible Study Groups that meet in communities, campuses & the workplace – to pray, encourage, strengthen each other in Christ, and to join Him in the great and precious work of bringing souls into the kingdom.

What does a Go-Group do?

A Go-Group meets every week to study the bible, pray, and minister or encourage to each other towards good works.

Go-Group members do evangelism and outreach activities together in their campuses, workplace, community, or city.

Home Go-Groups

Home Go-Groups happen at your home. They are a gathering neighbors who meet every week for to worship God, study His Word, and pray for one other. Each Go-Group  in COP is assigned to a “District” which represents a certain city i.e. District 21 Cavite. When city-wide outreaches are conducted i.e. healing crusades or relief goods distribution, these Go-Groups work together to make it happen.

Specialized Go-Groups

Specialized Go-Groups are those that meet other places aside from home – in campuses & workplaces. They functions the same way as Home Go-Groups. Usually, Specialized Go-Groups comprise of people sharing the same profession – such as doctors, students, military, call-center agents, and more.

Here are just some Specialized Go Groups that exist in COP. If you have an idea for a new Specialized Go-Group, i.e. a Go-Group for Seafarers, or Chefs, or Artists, please send your suggestion!

What happens when I join a ministry?

Amazing things! Do you remember Jesus taught us to “pray for workers in the harvest field”? When you joined the ministry, you’ve become an answer to that prayer – together with billions of believers around the world. You have become a co-worker with Christ in the harvest field; and when you are with Christ, miracles are bound to happen – in your life and in the lives of the people around you!

Ministry workers meet every week, be it the choir, dancers, the ushering ministry, and other outreach workers – to practice, study the word, and plan activities and evangelism outreaches together as a group.

There are several requirements for to be a ministry worker at COP:

SERLORD Ushering Ministry

SERLORD stands for “Servants of the Lord”. They are the jolly people opening the door for you and greeting you as you enter church. They are also the ones who are helping you find a good seat, guiding you where you want to go, and more.

YBD – or the Young Builders’ Department – are taking care of the children at the Children’s Church, or at the “Cry Rooms”, while the service is ongoing. A many interesting things are happening at Children’s Church while the parents are upstairs during service – children praising God, games, puppet shows, bible lessons, art activities, and a whole lot more! Jesus said about the children, “Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me” (Mtt. 18:5).

The Christian Arts Department is in charge of everything creative that happens during service – from the Singers, the Choir, the Dancers, the Musicians, the Stage Designs, and more. Hundreds of choir members sing praises to God every service. Dancers dance before the Lord. Musicians play their instruments skilfully. Do you have it in your heart to sing, dance, or play music before God? Then join us! Please see the rehearsal times below and the room where they are located.

Outreach Ministries are those that go out into the streets, the highways and the byways, to preach the Gospel and teach the Word of God to all people.

Healing Crusades

Healing Crusades are two-night events held in a certain city, in large locations such as auditoriums and gyms, organized by branch churches and the main church COP for to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and work together to invite as many people as will come.

Healing Crusades are announced months ahead. A few days before the the day of the crusades, volunteers saturate the city to preach the gospel at homes and at the streets, pray for the people, and pass out invitations. During the day of the crusade, ministers sing worship songs, Pastor Sumrall preaches the Gospel, and  volunteers pray for the sick. Afterwards, and testimonies of people who got healed are invited onstage.

Community Crusades

Community Crusades are smaller gospel outreaches that happen in Barangays, Schools, Offices, and Homes.  They include, Community Outreaches and Trio Crusades.

In the same way as Healing Crusades, volunteers sing worship songs, preach the gospel, and invite people to accept Christin into their lives.

Street Evangelisms

Street Evangelism activities are accomplished by each Go-Group every week or every month. As a group, they go to the streets, tell bystanders and people about Christ, and lead them to prayer.

When they have a chance, they also pray for the sick, give gifts to the poor, and pray for all their other needs in life.

DAILY MANNA Feeding Ministry

The DAILY MANNA Foundation is a feeding program that provides meals to at least 2,000 kids and their families, in the poorest parts of Manila every single day, rain or shine.

Ministry workers go to the kitchen as early as 3AM to prepare food for the children. The food is then distributed by other workers from 6AM to 9AM. Each Go-Group participates in the Feeding Program at least once a year.

MMU Military Outreach

MMU stands for “Mighty Men In Uniform” and is a ministry specifically commissioned to  “reach every soldier, police, and other uniformed personnel until Jesus comes.”

MMU Go Group Leaders hold bible studies every week in different military and police camps. They also conduct water baptisms for those who want to get baptized. All MMU Ministry Volunteers meet once a month for fellowship and sharing testimonies, hearing the word, and eating together with glad hearts.

Freedom Prison Outreach

The Freedom Ministry focuses on ministering and holding bible studies in different prisons in Metro Manila.

“Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…I was in prison and you came to visit me…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Matthew 25:34-40
