Mercy Must Be Learned
Matthew 9:12–13 (NLT) – When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
Growing up in satan’s family, mercy is not something that we learned. Growing up in religion, mercy is also not learned. Mercy is unique to God. After the Fall of man, the “predator instinct” became a dominant character trait in a creation. Only by being around Jesus will you learn to show mercy. It is not something that is part of this world.
